How to build circles and spheres in Minecraft

Building in Minecraft is super fun. You can build many amazing things that other people don’t even think about. However, building for new players is not easy, especially building circles, spheres, and curves.

Note ‼️: This post guides you to build circles and spheres manually (without using mods or direct support programs) for new players. I write based on my own experience, it is inevitable that shortcomings, I hope you understand and support.😁😁

1. Why build circles and spheres?

  • In Minecraft, constructions with circles, spheres and curves always attract the most attention of viewers. These constructions look natural and closer to real life.
  • They make buildings more diverse in form, even becoming the highlight for the overall project.

2. Build a circle according to an existing shape

Building circles in Minecraft is actually not difficult. You just need to place the block according to the image below. Click on the image to download or enlarge.

Each cell in the image corresponds to a block in the game.

  • First, select a block as the center of the circle.
  • Then, select the number of blocks you want as the diameter of the circle (black numbers on the image).
  • Finally, based on the image to build. Each small square corresponds to a block.

Once you get used to it, you won't need this image anymore, but you still have to remember numbers. For example, 5-1-1-5 or 5-2-1-2-5, easy to remember.

3. Build spheres by combining circles

The sphere is more complicated than the circle. The sphere is actually a combination of many circles, it's also easy to build.

  • First, you should build the frame first. Build three circles with the same center and equal diameter (in the Oxyz coordinate system). These three circles will make the initial mold for you to complete the sphere..

  • Taking the intersection of the circles as the center, construct smaller circles on all 6 faces. Diameter is the longest line on the same plane. It was first layer.
  • Continue building circles with larger diameters on the inner layer. That's the 2nd layer. Continue building like this until the frame is completely filled.

  • Finally, fill in the remaining holes, edit the sphere so that it is roundest.

Readers may be a bit confused but it is very easy to do, I will make a video tutorial below, with a video that will be more intuitive.

The above method can help you to build spheres, but with small size. The "super-large, super-giant" spheres that can cover a building or a city, cannot be built this way. Such large, complex spheres can only be done with map editing programs. Human strength is limited.😊😊

3. How to build any curve or shape with Paint

Once you are familiar with building circles and spheres in Minecraft, building any curve is not difficult.

I will guide you to draw any curve or shape, as long as you can draw in Paint. Then, you just build according to that drawing.

Paint is probably no stranger to everyone. It's built into Windows, even if you don't use it, it still there. I don't guide you to download Paint. You can learn more about Paint here.

  • First, you open Paint. If you don't know where it is, it's best to go to the search field and enter the keyword "Paint".
  • Run Paint, then, click the View tab, tick the Gridlines box to display the squares. Choose Zoom in or Zoom out to zoom in and out accordingly.
  • Return to the Home tab , use the Shapes tools to draw the shape you need and press Ctrl+ or Ctrl- to adjust the thickness of the shape.
  • Take a screenshot or just leave it as is and build it.

Both sides may not be equal. If you want, change it up a bit for perfection.
